Wide Legged Pants

I've been loving these wide leg style jeans. Pair them with a tucked in casual shirt and flats or even heels or wedges. Add some low key accessories such as a belt, long heavy necklace or bangles. Cooler than skinnies for the summer heat and go well from casual to dressy. This picture is from whowhatweardaily.com.

70's Inspiration

I found this online store called Poppy Cotton. They have made some of the most beautiful 70's inspired prints on pillows, wall hangings and lampshades. Some great vintage textiles. I'm absolutly in love with them. These are some pictures from their show room set up.

Oregon Country Fair

Oregon Counry Fair is July 13, 14, and 15th this year, in Vaneta Oregon. I truely incourage everyone to go and experience it at some point in there life. I have been going almost every year my whole life. There is so many beautiful people who gather there each year for the weekend and endless creativity and beauty, from earth fairies dancing around, beautiful hand made crafts (not to mention the beautiful booths they are displayed in), amazing food ( you've got to try Ritta's Bouritos, or pad thai at the Bangkok Grill....mmmmm) and great music. I could spend the whole day dancing and taking part in the drum tower, but there are are over 10 stages on which verious artist perform, as well as a lively parade, made up of whistles, stilt walkers, and goons. It you have a day, head down that way! http://www.oregoncountryfair.org/

Beautiful Doorway

These are the curtains in the fitting rooms in Free People stores. When I was at the store in Garden City, New York I immediatly fell in love with the idea. It's like a super thin quilt, or a super thick sheet...It's two peices of fabric sewn together and then hand stitches up and down over and over to create a very heavy very beautiful curtain. I love this idea and am planning to make one for a door on my room.

Feist

I recently discovered an amazing music artist. Her name? Feist. Aparently she is on the rise in popularity. She recently came to Portland and did a show at the Crystal Ballroom, which a few of my co-workers attended. I wish I had gone, however, I didn't, because I didn't really know about her and the music she creates until after the concert when everybody was talking about her and I decided I had better look her up and listen to some of her music which I immediatly fell in love with!!

Free People top

This is a new Free People top that I find beautiful. The cut would be amazing in the heat of summer. I love the detail that is incorperated around the bottom hem and the straps. I also really like the folksy fabric and colors. It comes in two colors and is $68. Sorry there is so many pictures, but I had to show the detail! Plus look at the amazing granny square throw hanging in the back ground... Also very amazing!!
